For over 20 years, Joe Souder has served the banking industry in the Southeast as a trusted recruiting partner to both clients and candidates. His career began in 1998 with a Management Recruiters International (MRI Network) affiliate in the Atlanta Market as an account executive solely working the banking vertical. Through those early years, Joe was able to expand and grow his reputation and client base within the banking industry which resulted in a promotion to becoming the Managing Director of the Atlanta based MRI Network affiliate. A combination of great mentoring, hard work, perseverance and good fortune led to Joe founding is own firm, The Barrington Shepard Group, in 2011.

During his career in Executive Search, Joe has conducted searches for both public and private banks with a niche focus on Community or Small Regional Banks in the $0 to $20B space. His functional areas of expertise include risk, compliance, lending, and credit. Within these areas, he has assisted countless clients with searches for Chief Operating Officers, Chief Risk Officers, Chief Compliance Officers, Chief Credit Officers, Chief Lending Officer roles as well as Manager and Director level reports within these functional areas.

A working relationship that developed during their time as Account Executives at Management Recruiters International's affiliate Offices in Milwaukee & Atlanta continued when both Greg and Joe's skill sets and expertise within the bank recruiting industry led them to assist with clients' critical searches as independent business owners. They not only shared an industry focus but what appears to be a perfect match in their philosophy for the business. By now merging their firm's as a Management Recruiters International Affiliate (MRI Network) Greg and Joe continue to hold a firm and deep belief in conducting their business with a focus on putting clients and candidates first and themselves second. This commitment of doing what is right by the clients and candidates they represented took importance over all else as this commitment was non-negotiable and there were no short cuts or substitutes. In partnering with Greg Barlow and MR Dominion, Joe has also developed expertise in finance, accounting, and audit, helping place Chief Financial Officers, Chief Accounting Officers, and Controllers nationwide.

In the Summer of 2019, the two banking colleagues got together to lay the groundwork for merging the two successful boutique search firms into one firm, MR Dominion, to better serve their respective client bases. The thought was by working together they could drive results that would be even more impactful to both their clients and candidates. Now, every client and candidate would have the expertise of two partner level executive recruiters at their disposal combining for over forty years of industry experience. With their continued commitment, this will result in higher execution, shorter recruitment timelines, and a broader product offering of business lines within the banking industry to our clients.
